About Braj
Braj Kishore Jha is an Environmental Consultant at Shiva Consultancy Group with 37 years of experience in ferrous, non-ferrous, and process industries. He has in-depth training from IIT Kanpur in hazard analysis and waste management in chemical industries.
His major projects include the conceptualization and preparation of a feasibility report for a 6.0 Mt Integrated Steel Plant in Orissa. He is currently In-charge of the Coke Oven and By-Product Project Division and Environmental Project Division at Bhushan Steel Limited, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to finalise technical specifications for coke oven and by-product plants.
He has led teams in organising environmental clearances, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Management Plans, and co-ordinating Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. Earlier at MECON LTD, he worked on the Coke Oven Department, Environmental Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, and Non-Ferrous and Utilities Department — assessing pollution control measures, preparing environmental management reports, and conducting day-to-day environmental monitoring for various companies.
